How to fix There was an unexpected error with the login session in League of Legends
Step 1. First, make sure that the game or the launcher aren’t running in the background by opening the Task Manager. If it’s running then close it by clicking on End Task.
Step 2. Disable Proxy Settings in Windows 10
1. Go to the Control Panel, select Network and Internet and go to Internet Options.
2. In the Internet Properties window, switch to the Connections tab and click on LAN Settings button.
3. In the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window, toggle the option Automatically detect settings to ON and toggle the option Use a proxy server to OFF.
4. Click OK to save changes.
Step 3. Change your DNS
1. Go to the Control Panel.
2. Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
3. Choose the connection for which you want to change Google Public DNS. In my example, we change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click the Ethernet interface and click Properties.
4. Go to the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click Properties.
5. Select the General tab, do one of the following, make sure that Obtain an IP address automatically is checked. And then you tick the radio button for Use the following DNS server address then type the following server address and click OK:
The IP addresses of Google’s DNS are as follows: 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4
Step 4. Restart your computer and check to see if the error is resolved.
