How To Convert a Word Document to JPG

Method 1. Save Word document as JPEG Using the Windows Snipping Tool

If the Word file you want to save to a JPEG is one page or less, the Windows Snipping Tool is useful for you.

1. Open the Word document and choose the text you want to convert into a JPG.

2. Press Ctrl + P or select File > Print to open the document in Print Preview view.

3. Open the Snipping Tool app.

4. In the Snipping Tool window, click the Mode drop-down menu > select Rectangular Snip.

5. Click New, then draw a rectangle around the document in the print preview. When you release the mouse, the snip will occur in the Snipping Tool window.

6. Click File > Save as… or press Ctrl + S. The Save As window will pop up.

7. Choose the location where you want to save the file. Choose JPG in the Save as Type box and type a name for the image file. Click Save.

Method 2. Save a Word Doc as an Image Using Microsoft Paint

This method will show you how to save Word Doc as an JPEG using Microsoft Paint

1. Open the Word document and choose the text you want to convert into a JPG. To choose the entire contents of the document, select any section of the document and then press Ctrl + A. After that, press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.

2. Open Microsoft Paint.

3. Go to the Clipboard group of the Home tab, click the Paste drop-down arrow and select Paste. The contents copied from Word will be pasted in Paint.

4. Click File > Save As > JPEG Picture.

5. Choose the location where you want to save the file. Type a name for the image file, select JPG in the Save as Type box. Click Save.

Method 3. Convert Word to JPG Using the Snagit

If you have SnagIt, you can also “print” to the SnagIt printer, which renders each page as a separate image, which you can then save in any graphic format. What’s more, using this way, you will be able to capture all the pages.

1. Download and install Snagit on your PC.

2. Open the Word document and select the text you want to convert into a JPG.

3. Select File > Print or press Ctrl + P to open the document in Print Preview view.

4. Click the drop-down list under “Printer”, and select the SnagIt printer. Click Print.

Note: Make sure you select “Print All Pages” under “Settings”.

5. Wait for a few seconds, and it will jump to Snagit automatically. And you can click the button on the bottom of the page to jump to other images.

6. Finally, you can save the image to another place in your PC. To do so, click File > Save As… Select the location where you want to save the file. Enter a name for the image file, select JPG in the Save as Type box. Click Save.
