How to install VMware Tools in a Windows guest operating system using vSphere Client
Make sure that your Windows virtual machine is powered on.
Step 1. To begin, log in to the virtual machine as a user with Administrative privileges.
Step 2. Once the desktop is loaded, go to the menu of the VMware console window, select VM > click Install VMware Tools.
Step 3. Go to CD in the Windows Explorer and then double-click setup64.exe or setup.exe to begin the wizard.
Step 4. When you start the installation, a VMware Tools setup wizard dialog box appears. Click Next to continue.
Step 5. Follow the prompts in the wizard to complete the VMware Tools installation. Choose the Typical installation option.

Step 6. After the VMware Tools installation completes, restart the virtual machine for the changes to take effect.
