FIX: Windows 10 Calculator Not Working

FIX 1. Reset the Calculator app

3. Wait until a process ends and then try launching Calculator again.

FIX 3. Run Windows app troubleshooter

FIX 4. Reinstall the Calculator app

FIX 6. Run SFC and DISM scan

One of the causes behind the Windows 10 calculator not working issue is that some system files could be missing. In this case, you could consider running an SFC scan. If SFC can’t fix the problem, proceed with a DISM scan. Here are the steps:

1. Start Command Prompt as Administrator.

2. When Command Prompt starts, type “sfc /scannow” and press Enter.

3. Wait for the scan to complete.

Once the scan has finished, check if the “Windows 10 calculator not working” issue is resolved. If SFC can’t fix the problem, you need to run run a DISM scan.

1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.

2. Now type the following command in Command Prompt and hit Enter:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

3. After finishing the DISM scan, restart your computer.

FIX 7. Create a new user account

If the problem is with the login account, it could be corrected by logging in through a different user account and using. Here are the steps to create a new user account:

1. Click on the Start icon and navigate to the Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.

2. In the Family & other users section, select on the Add someone else to this PC.

3. Select on I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.

4. Then select on Add a user without a Microsoft account.

5. Now you need to give username and password for local account.

6. After you’ve created a new account, log in with the new account.

Once your account is created, log in with the new account.

If the issue is resolved, you can delete your old account, however remember to copy your personal files and documents to your new account. This might be a bit drastic method, but it should help you if the Calculator won’t open in Windows 10.
