Let me explain first what is error code 7 in Valorant?
When you receive the error, the following message pops up:
There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client (Error Code 7)

This means that the error primarily appears when you are unable to connect to Valorant’s servers. There are two main reasons for this happening either it’s an issue with your account, or Riot Games’ very own servers are down.

How To Fix Valorant Error Code 7
Much like the fix for the Error Code 46 and the “stuck on loading” screen bug, the fix for the Error Code 7 is going to be a temporary method. Here are some of the solutions to deal with the issue:
Step 1. Restart Valorant
Try restarting the game. The Error Code 7 pretty much solves itself once you sign out and sign in back into the game.
Step 2. Restart your computer
If the above method doesn’t work, then restart your computer. Re-open the Valorant game and see if the problem has been resolved.
Step 3. Create a new Riot Account
You might have a suspension on your account. In order to fix this issue, you need to make a new Riot Account.
1. First, download and install Touch VPN on your Windows PC.
2. Launch Touch VPN and select a location. In my example, I select Singapore.
3. Visit the Valorant website and create a new Riot Account.
4. Now you can exit Touch VPN and then log in Valorant with your Riot ID.
Re-launch the Valorant game and check if the problem has been resolved.

These past few days, Riot has been having frequent server downtimes. If that is the case, then all you can do is to wait it out till it’s back up and running again.
