How To Fix Nvidia graphics card not detected on Windows 10

FIX 1. Check if your graphics card is enabled

The issue will happen if your Nvidia graphics card is disabled in Device Manager. To fix that, you might enable it with the following steps.

1. Press Windows Key + R then type “devmgmt.msc” in the Run dialog box. Click OK to open Device Manager.

2. In the Device Manager window, expand Display adapters category.

3. Right-click your graphic card and select Enable device.

If the option “Enable device” is missing it means that your graphics card is enabled.

FIX 2. Install the Latest Nvidia Drivers

If your Nvidia graphics card isn’t detected on Windows 10, you can fix that problem by installing the latest Nvidia drivers for your device. Before doing that be sure to remove all previous Nvidia drivers that you have.

1. Open the Settings app, and then click Apps.

FIX 3. Use Command Prompt

2. When Command Prompt starts, type “bcdedit /set pciexpress forcedisable” and press Enter.

FIX 4. Make sure that discrete Graphics Processing Unit is enabled in BIOS

If you have both integrated and discrete graphics, Windows might not be able to detect it, so you need to enable the discrete graphics from BIOS.

1. Restart your computer, and press Del or F2 to enter BIOS.

2. Go to Chipset > dGPU Configuration.

3. Locate the dGPU feature, and set it to Enabled.

4. Save changes and exit BIOS.

FIX 5. Update your BIOS

BIOS is a firmware on your motherboard, and by updating your BIOS you allow your motherboard to work with new hardware. Many users reported that after updating their BIOS, the Nvidia graphics card not detected issue was fixed.
