NBA 2K22 Career Mode Not Working

In September 2021, Visual Concepts and 2K Games released NBA 2K22, a basketball simulation video game based on the National Basketball Association. It is the sequel to NBA 2K21 and the 23rd installment in the NBA 2K franchise. However, players and critics have given it middling ratings on Steam, which is a bit of a letdown. Meanwhile, some players have reported that NBA 2K22 Career Mode is not working.

If you’re one of the unfortunate victims of this problem, please be sure to follow our troubleshooting method to fully resolve it. There could be a variety of reasons for such an issue, including in-game bugs, game file issues, system glitches, and more. Multiple difficulties with the game running might be caused by outdated device software, internet troubles, server connectivity issues, and so on.

NBA 2K22 Career Mode Not Working, How to Fix?

Fortunately, there are a few viable solutions listed below that should assist you. Let’s get started without wasting any more time.

1. Fix MyCareer File

If you’re having problems with a saved MyCAREER file in NBA 2K22, it’s likely that it’s either lost or damaged. When you try to load it in that case, you’ll get an error message. A notice similar to “This save file is corrupted and cannot be loaded” will most likely display.

For PS4:

If your PS4’s Automatic Update option is turned on, save game files will be automatically sent to the cloud. You’ll need to follow the procedures below to download your saved game data from the cloud:

1. Select Application Data Management from the in-game Settings menu.

2. To access saved data in online storage, go to Saved Data in Online Storage > Select “Download to System Storage” from the drop-down menu.

3. On your console, press the X button > Choose NBA 2K22 as your game.

4. Try again after downloading all files that begin with “MyCareer…”

For PS5:

You’ll have to sync your saved data to the cloud, just like the PS4 console. Make sure that ‘Automatic Updates’ is turned on. Following the procedures below, you may easily download that saved data directly from the cloud storage to the PS5 storage once it has been synced and uploaded:

1. Select Games/Apps > Saved Data from the Settings menu.

2. Select Saved Data (PS5) or Saved Data (PS4).

3. Choose Cloud Storage > Select NBA 2K22 from the drop-down menu, then Download to Console Storage.

For Xbox:

Users of Xbox consoles are unable to store game data to the cloud manually. If you’re linked to XBOX Live, however, the game data will be automatically uploaded and downloaded from the Microsoft Cloud Exchange.

By following the procedures below, PC gamers can quickly preserve data backups and restore them through Steam:

1. Open the Steam client > In the upper left corner of the Steam application, select ‘Steam

2. Select ‘Backup and restore games…’ from the drop-down menu. Then, choose ‘Restore a previous backup’

3. Go to the location where the game’s backup files are kept > To install the NBA 2K22 game, go to Steam and search for it.
