How to Fix ‘The Item Can’t be Copied because it is too Large For the Volume’s Format’ Error in Windows 10/8/7
Step 1. First, plug the USB device in your Windows PC.
Step 2. Open “File Explorer” and select on “This PC” option from the left pane.
Note: For Windows 7, open “My Computer”.
Step 3. Select your USB Drive, right-click it and click Format.
Step 4. Go to the “File System” section, set “NTFS” or “exFAT” as File System from the dropdown.
Note: If you choose “NTFS”, you will have to install an additional driver for MAC OS support.
Step 5. Click on the “Start” button.
Step 6. Wait for the format to be completed, and then retry to copy the file to USB drive and check to see if the problem persists.
