Step 1. First thing first, Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10.
Step 2. After booting into Safe Mode, start a Command Prompt as an Administrator
Step 3. When Command Prompt window opens, run these following command below one by one.
- cd C:\Program Files
- takeown /f WindowsApps /r /d Y
- icacls WindowsApps /grant “%USERDOMAIN%\%USERNAME%”:(F) /t
- attrib WindowsApps -h
- rename WindowsApps WindowsApps.old
Step 4. You can now close Command Prompt window and reboot back into Windows 10. And then check if System Restore error 0x80070091 has resolved.
